Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess any one of the following from a recognized institution approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC):

  • B.Sc (Hons) Nursing — regular course

  • B.Sc Nursing — regular course

  • Post Basic B.Sc Nursing

  • Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) from a recognized institution

  • Additionally, candidates must have valid registration with the Uttarakhand Nurses and Midwives Council, Dehradun. The registration certificate must be valid up to the last date of application (July 2, 2026). Applications without a valid council registration will be rejected. NUI cards or registration application receipts are NOT accepted.

    Working knowledge of Hindi is also mandatory.

    • Minimum 2 years of service in the Territorial Army, OR

  • 'B' or 'C' certificate from the National Cadet Corps (NCC)

    Domicile / Residency Requirement

    This recruitment is open only to Uttarakhand domicile candidates. Candidates must hold a valid Uttarakhand domicile (permanent residence) certificate up to the last date of application.

    Candidates who completed High School and Intermediate from recognized institutions within Uttarakhand are also eligible. Employees of central government or state government institutions with non-transferable postings in Uttarakhand (and their children/spouses) may also apply.


    Reservation Policy

    • Vertical reservations apply for SC, ST, OBC, and EWS as per Uttarakhand government orders

  • Horizontal reservations apply for Ex-Servicemen, Freedom Fighter dependents, Divyang (PwD – OL category only), Orphan children, Uttarakhand agitators and their dependents, and skilled sportspersons
