Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualifications & Experience
To secure a position in the BFUHS Nursing Recruitment 2026, applicants must meet strict educational and teaching experience criteria by the submission deadline.
Associate Professor (Nursing): 5 years of teaching experience as a Lecturer (or higher) after an M.Sc. in Nursing in the relevant specialty is required. Preference: to Ph.D. (Nursing) holders with a total of 8 years of teaching experience. For Super Specialty Diploma courses, 5 years of experience in the relevant/allied specialty is required.
Assistant Professor (Nursing): Requires 3 years of teaching experience as a Tutor (or higher) after M.Sc. (Nursing). Preference: to Ph.D. (Nursing) candidates.
Tutor/Demonstrator (Nursing): Candidates must have an M.Sc. Nursing degree in the relevant specialty.
Age Limit & Relaxations
Age calculations are strictly based on 1st January 2026.
Professor: Maximum 50 yrs
Associate Professor: Maximum 45 yrs
Assistant Professor: Maximum 40 yrs
Tutor/Demonstrator: 18 to 37 yrs
Age Relaxations:
SC/BC Candidates: +5 Yrs
Physically Handicapped (PH): +10 Yrs
Ex-servicemen: As per Punjab Govt. Rules.
Crucial Terms & Conditions for Applicants

Language Requirement: You must have passed Punjabi (or an equivalent subject) up to the matriculation level.
Nursing Registration: Active registration with the Punjab Nurses Registration Council (PNRC) is mandatory.
Category Selection: Choose your reservation category carefully. It cannot be changed later, and doing so may lead to the cancellation of your application.
Document Verification: Although documents are not verified during the initial online stage, providing false, fictitious, or forged certificates will lead to immediate disqualification and legal action in subsequent stages.
